Events this fall have put Project Quest in the spotlight, according to recent news articles from KSAT 12 and Texas Public Radio.

Dawn Brooks, Web News Editor for KSAT 12, the ABC affiliate for San Antonio, highlights the recent $20,000 grant from the John L. Santikos Charitable Foundation of the San Antonio Area Foundation. Brooks reported, “The grant will enable the organization to pay for the licensing fees of 100 nursing participants.” Read more about the story here.

The next week, Paul Flahive of Texas Public Radio reported about how Rackspace Open Cloud Academy and Project Quest, Inc. partnered to launch a “novel boot-camp style class (that) teaches veterans with (security) clearances the skills to land” jobs in cyber security.

Flahive spoke with Jacob Mireles, a veteran and graduate of the course, on how the financial support from Project Quest, Inc. was instrumental for jumping to a new career path, “”I could not have come up with [the money] on my own. When the opportunity came and the money was there for us, I had to do it. There was no way I wasn’t going to do it.”

Then one of our very own Career Advisors, Maria Salazar, joined our student Esperanza Sattler for an interview on Despierta San Antonio on the local Univision Affiliate. Watch the full interview here.
